Which artists old or new inspire you the most?
"I grew up listening to artists such as Bob Dylan, John Martyn, Christy Moore, and Damien Rice amongst many others. I also find people like Jack White, Bon Iver, Rocco Deluca and The Black Keys really inspiring. I like to try and find the time to go and see other emerging artists live, who are at a level or two above me, I’m looking forward to seeing Luke Sital-Singh in London in May and I’d love to see Tom Grennan soon. It’s a great learning curve for me."

When you start working on a new idea or song what is the first thing you do to kick start the idea?
"For me parts of The Wild Winds EP are hugely personal but it was definitely a process I needed to go through and it’s something I couldn’t help but write about. The EP has a lot of variation to it, it was unavoidable really because I was just having fun creating it in the studio and experimenting with different ideas. It signifies an element of closure, following on from my EP Changing. Changing was written about mental health but it seemed to mean something different to each person."

Are there any producers or artists you would love to collaborate with?
"I’d love to share the stage with Jack White, that would be fun."

What is your go to track of the moment?
"I'm loving Something in the Water by Tom Grennan."

Do you prefer performing live or studio recording?
"I really enjoy performing live, I do a lot of shows. 200+ last year but when i'm in the studio with Dani Castelar I've enjoyed it just as much, it's really fun if you are comfortable and in an inspiring environment, I go to his studio in Valencia and it's really tranquil."

Are you heading to or performing at any festivals this year?
"I am playing Smoked & Uncut in Dorset and a few in Amsterdam including The Brave in August and some other smaller ones around my hometown but i'm not attending any of the big ones this year."

What’s next for you this year?
"I have just completed my first UK Tour for The Wild Winds EP, I am about to collaborate with the legend that is Frank Turner at The Roundhouse which is really exciting. I plan to do some co-writing and then release another EP in Autumn 2017. I am also doing a mini tour in The Netherlands in July with a few festivals and some living room concerts."

Who are your style icons and why?
"I have a bit of a man crush on Isaac Holman from Slaves, I met him at Glastonbury last year and he's a really nice guy and has a lot of style. I don't think i'd pull it off though."

What’s your ‘go to’ item of clothing for any stage performance?
"My DM's."

Why are you excited to perform at Bicester Village?
"I am actually from Brackley which is a few miles away and my first ever job was in a store in Bicester Village. It will be nice to be back near my hometown and play to a new audience. It will be a lot like what I do in London as I busk on the underground."
